Business Development Manager


Job Summary


Reporting to the Regional Sales Director, the Business Development Manager will have a variety of duties aimed at managing the specified portfolio client relationships, as well as developing new business from existing clients. The Business Development Manager will also actively seek out new clients. As with most sales roles, the Business Development Manager will be compensated with a base salary plus a bonus plan tied to the amount of revenue generated.

 

Key Role Responsibilities

 

Sales and Account Management:

 

- The Business Development Manager will have a monthly sales target made up of new business and client retention. They will be expected to consistently meet or exceed this target.
- Liaising with the marketing, product and sales enablement teams to help develop a deep understanding for the continued success of strategic sales priorities

 

Client Communication

 

- Serve as the face of the product sales portfolio in the specified sector.
- In most cases, is the primary, if not only, company representative who communicates with clients in the specified sector.
- As a result, it is important to deliver a positive customer service experience.
- This is accomplished by listening to each client in order to gain an understanding of their individualized needs, in order to direct them to the appropriate product or service.
- It is important for the Business Development Manager to manage the expectations of clients; when disruptions occur during the service delivery process, it is imperative that the Business Development Manager works to resolve situations quickly, as the goal is to maintain the customer relationship and delivery of the account

 

Reporting

 

- The Business Development Manager is required to prepare various reports surrounding the metrics of their sales territory: quarterly/monthly/weekly sales results, annual forecasts and account status reports are just a few examples.

 

Qualifications:


·         3+ years of relevant work experience, ideally growing revenues through identifying new sales opportunities and exceptional account management.

·         Proven track record of sales target achievement

·         Aviation, Business Travel, Data & Analytics or related industry experience.

·         Curious and willingness to learn

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills.

·    Ability to work independently and multitask.
