The Assistant Marketing Manager supports the Marketing manager in the development and execution of go-to-market strategies and tactics for their segment. This position supports marketing activities including but not limited to customer communications and retention activities, sales enablement, lead generation activities (direct mail, e-marketing communications, e-mail, SEO/SEM, Social; events and webinars) and product & industry specific marketing communications to internal stakeholders and external audiences. The Assistant Marketing Manager measures the effectiveness of campaigns using defined metrics to ensure they are optimally executed. The Assistant Marketing Manager must have the ability to work collaboratively and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must. This position involves the ability to draw conclusions and/or make recommendations based on data and results analysis. 

Accountabilities: 
1. Assists the Marketing team in developing and executing the marketing plans 
2. Support the development of product positioning, competitive assessments, customer segmentation, etc. 
3. Lead execution of the marketing tactics. 
4. Support segment marketing programs and roll out to customers as applicable. 
5. Has alignment with sales managers and reps, along with marketing function area needs (PR, Direct to Customer, Show Management, web). 
6. Support the development of consistent testing cadence to increase marketing effectiveness. 
7. Work with the Marketing team to make recommendations on marketing tactics to increase marketing contribution to sales. 
8. Collaborate with the Search Team to execute on the paid and organic search efforts, as well as monitor the results.

Qualifications: 
1. 1-2 years business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer consultation and strategy development in direct marketing and e-marketing channels. 
2. 4-year College Degree (preferably in Marketing or Business) or equivalent in work experience. 
3. Ability to review marketing analysis to uncover underlying drivers, assess potential impact and design metrics. 
4. Ability to handle multi-projects with strong project management. 
5. Ability to use CRM and/or marketing databases and marketing automation systems a 
6. Experience in sales collateral creation and managing logistics of customer events. 
7. Proficient in Microsoft office suite. 
8. Basic skills in analyzing data to inform strategic business decisions.
