Applications Data and Performance Analyst – Kidlington, Oxford

 

The Virtual Total Warehouse (VTW) is a central hub for Elsevier’s research content, using MongoDB to manage the metadata for each piece of research and a series of micro services delivering critical business processing capabilities for the company’s digital and print publishing production. Unified Cloud Service (UCS) sits alongside VTW, storing well over a billion physical binary content assets in Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 buckets.

You will play a key role in configuring and maintaining our application management toolsets to deliver detailed analytics of the platforms performance and throughput, systems monitoring and alerting, and integration with centralised BI platforms.

 

About You

 

You will use your demonstrable experience of delivering detailed applications data and performance analysis in complex, high transactional platforms, to extract and manipulate data from a varied Tech. Stack to prepare reports and evaluate outcomes. You will be adept at telling a story creatively and succinctly, with the ability to deliver high quality data visualisation. An attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. You’ll enjoy working with a talented team of developers in a challenging, fast moving agile working environment.

And as we transform our software platforms, you’ll help shape and deliver our micro services whilst getting to learn and work with a host of exciting technologies.
