Inside Account Manager for DACH

We're looking for someone like you to take ownership of Academic & Government accounts, covering the DACH region.

This position is in Amsterdam and you will report to the Inside Regional Sales Director

As part of a newly set up Global Inside Sales division, you’ll be joining a team of 10 Inside Account Managers covering clients domiciled in the EMEA region. Your responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing and growing the revenue through upsell and cross sell to existing accounts.
  • You also engage with new prospects by interacting with your clients daily, through phone, Skype and email.
  • You are the primary strategic account owner towards client and Elsevier stakeholders.
What you should bring 
  • A University degree, BS/BA or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of proven commercial (b2b) experience
  • Proven success in negotiating contracts and closing business
  • Proven success in new business prospecting, selling, negotiating and closing skills
  • Strong phone, written communication and online presentation skills
  • Experience in enterprise customer relationship management system is desirable
  • Proactive with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience working with research administration and management functions as well as knowledge in regional or national research programs, collaboration networks is desirable
  • Fluent in German and English, written and oral
