Account Development Manager MEA

The Account Development Manager MEA is responsible for the execution of account engagement strategy to increase customer perception of the value of the customer’s investment in Elsevier products/services. 

You will report to the Sales Intelligence Manager in the Netherlands, Amsterdam. The preferred location for this role is Cairo.

Your responsibilities:
  • Develop a territory strategy that is aligned with the region-wide marketing strategy.
  • Manage account level marketing efforts to the customer and the customer end-users in the region.
  • Develop expert knowledge of Elsevier’s applicable electronic products portfolio. 
  • Support new product launches as well as new releases of existing products within the regional customer base.
  • Develop and deliver training programs (train-the-trainer) and customer value-improvement programs. 
  • Track, analyze and report on usage and customer feedback. 
  • Conduct customer training, including onsite training for large accounts and train-the-trainer
  • Responsible for translation of the training material in local languages
What you should bring:
  • 5+ years in a customer-facing role (preferably B2B).
  • Experience in training and customer development, sales and/or marketing preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential
  • Strong analytical ability and negotiation skills
  • Clinical background desirable
  • Bachelor level education (in marketing or science preferred). Masters level education a plus
  • Multi-cultural awareness
  • Ability to travel – at least 50%
  • Fluent (strong written and verbal communication) in English and Arabic
