Marketing Strategy Manager, Commercial Planning - Cirium - Portland, OR or Home-Based (US)

(Formally the FlightGlobal, Data & Analytics division)

  • Over 36 million passenger itineraries are processed each year to alert corporate travel companies, travel agencies and airlines, so that travelers stay up-to-date with flight status and airlines minimize disruption
  • Over US$300 billion worth of airline tickets are analyzed for market insights
  • Over 35 million airline flights are tracked per month covering over 97% of scheduled flights worldwide and more than 90% of commercial aircraft in service so that engine OEMs can keep track of the per hour use of their engines

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:


Drive results with data-driven planning:

  • Works in partnership with product development team, aligning marketing and go-to-market strategies with audience needs and sales and product revenue targets
  • Drives education, ongoing adoption and sales enablement across stakeholders and within marketing
  • Drives partnerships between product and sales to identify opportunity sizing by revenue and effort
  • Develops and communicates industry insights and trends to be integrated throughout the organization

 

Develop programs:


  • Designs and builds end-to-end sales enablement process
  • Leads efforts to instill better use of research and customer feedback in future product development and upgrades
  • Works closely with Marketing Ops and across functional groups to explore new technology integrations that better the customer experience while exposing more of the customer journey

 

Tailors Go-To-Market Strategy to the customer:

  • Crafts value propositions and portfolio messaging to be incorporated into Sales Enablement materials and customer-facing materials
  • Maintains and communicates market landscapes, SWOT, competitive insights
  • Co-creates plans and programs with Customer Engagement and Brand teammates for product adoption and engagement
  • Co-creates plans and programs with Demand Gen and Brand teammates to fill the funnel and nurture leads into opportunities

  • Account-based marketing experience
  • Leading a cross-functional team
  • Multi-channel marketing skills
  • Ability to write compelling messages and demonstrate impact
  • Educational training and presentation skills
  • Planning and organizational skills

    

Experience Required:

  • Eight or more years in developing customer communities and/or supporting sales initiatives within a global business
  • Excellent communication skills to convey compelling stories both written and verbal
  • Part of a B2B IT product delivery or marketing organization
  • Voice of the Customer work or customer journey mapping is a plus
  • Ideal candidate would have experience working in the travel/airline/aerospace sector.

 

Work Location:

The ideal candidate will work out of the Portland, OR office, but for the right candidate, we will consider a remote/home-based location.
