ABOUT PARIS PHOTO NEW YORK


Paris Photo, the world’s largest international art fair dedicated to the photographic medium, is happy to announce the launch of Paris Photo New York April 2-5, 2020. 
Presented with the Association of International Photography Art Dealers (AIPAD), the new fair will create a transatlantic hub between the two historic centers for photography – Paris and New York thus forming a collective voice and international reference for the photographic medium. 
The new fair will capitalize on the strength of the American photography market by expanding and diversifying the fair’s representation of international and cutting-edge galleries and invigorating the community of curators and art professionals throughout the Americas and beyond. 
Drawing from the city’s thriving arts scene and rich network of museums and organizations, the New York edition will highlight their indelible impact on the history of the medium and the recognition of its artists. Invited guest curators will organize programming, including exhibitions, conversations, to connect international leaders in the field and advance the understanding and appreciation of fine art photography. 


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


The Partnerships and Public Relations Officer for Paris Photo New York is responsible for the development of corporate partnerships and the venue of collectors and leading figures from museums and art world. Will coordinate and execute all operations related to partnerships and public relations in the Americas throughout the year.  Will serve as internal liaison to our partner.


Based in New York, with a proven professional network, will report to Paris Photo’s Head of Partnerships and Paris Photo Head of Public Relations, based in Paris.


 


 


THROUGHOUT THE YEAR


  • Identify and source corporate partnership / VIP visitors (collectors, museums directors, curators, group of donors…) opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails and client visits in coordination with the Paris team 
  • Research partners/VIP visitors, identify key players and generate interest


  • Develop and nurture an active network for potential future partnerships / VIP visitors, represent Paris Photo at local meetings 
  • Report to and collaborate with senior management and other teammates to align our internal goals with new and existing relationships as well as corporate/institutional offers 
  • Negotiate and finalize deals in accordance with company’s guidelines and policy
  • Negotiate and finalize the VIP program (visits, VIP services…)
  • Overlook all accounting operations in collaboration with the accounting department
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results following the company’s guidelines


 


BEFORE AND DURING PARIS PHOTO NEW YORK


  • Prepare and update partnerships decks and proposals
  • Welcome VIP clients and officials protocol
  • Oversee and manage the private visits of the VIP program
  • Oversee the partners’ and institutions presence in all communication supports and tools (print & digital)
  • Organize corporate events for up to 2000 people: follow all operations before and during the event, communicate with other team members and suppliers, manage on-site hostesses and contractors, and manage all logistics and technical issues.
  • Manage the set-up, handling and dismantling of partners’ exhibitions and booths.
  • Manage logistics and technical issues, coordinate with other team members and suppliers. Both for Partnerships events and VIP events




REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum 3 years experience working as Corporate Partnerships Officer or Associate
  • Previous experience in events organization and/or project management
  • Experience in PR is a plus
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Management or similar relevant field
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Networking aptitude, dynamic and proactive
  • Great multitasking skills
  • Attention to details
  • At ease both in corporate and artistic professional environments 
  • Must be fluent in English, French is a plus 
  • Passionate about art
