Job Summary


XpertHR seeks a Senior Software Engineer to be a strong contributor on the team, US Development Squad, located in New Providence NJ, and to be a wider part of XpertHR development team. The person selected for this exciting new role will be provided with the opportunity to perform SDLC full-cycle software engineering using the latest technologies.

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience

  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities
  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements
  • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components
  • Complete complex bug fixes
  • Work with development team to understand complex product requirements and translate into software designs
  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews
  • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Resolve complex technical issues as necessary
  • Train junior software engineers as required, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles. Additionally, mentor junior developers on development topics (i.e. methodologies, optimization techniques, etc)
  • Keep abreast of new technology trends and developments
  • Design and work with complex data models
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Expertise in developing using various technologies, including, but not limited to the following: .Net, Angular, MongoDB, SQL, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Git, Jira
  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc.
  • Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques

  • Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modelling principles
  • Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering/development industry best practices
  • Knowledge in using, and developing, applicable tool sets
  • Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources
  • Experience performing software engineering within test-driven development environment
  • Skilled in writing and reviewing detailed specifications for the development of complex system components
  • Ability to complete complex bug fixes
