Executive Conference Producer, ICIS Events - 12 Month FTC

The role

 

This is a market leading global portfolio, with over 23 conferences and 40 training courses each year, delivering multi-million-dollar revenues and high profit margin to the ICIS business. Most importantly this enables ICIS to bring together communities of key industry practitioners and ensure our thought leadership and insight drives better outcomes in our target markets.

 

You will be joining a passionate Production team on a one-year full time contract to deliver a global portfolio of 4 conferences per year with line management responsibility for one Conference Producer. Reporting into the Head of Production, you will be responsible for researching and writing high level agendas, identifying and securing market leading and inspirational speakers across our flagship portfolio of events. As well as supporting and coaching one Conference Producer to deliver, grow and innovate their portfolio of 6 events annually.

 

You’ll be used to working in a culture of high performance, leading by example and have previous line management experience of coaching and leading a small team. You’ll have a record of delivering fantastic results through content delivering, in a faced paced events environment, differentiating for success. 

 

 The successful candidate will lead by example showcasing best practise production experience; encouraging innovation, initiative and collaboration with your peers, the wider business and external stakeholders. Using your research and market insight you will also support the Head of Production to understand portfolio growth opportunities and drive innovation within the portfolio of events.

 

With a keen focus on putting the customer first you will be creating communities and connecting the global markets through our events and your content by also creating engaging and benefits led marketing copy. You will be working closely with both marketing and sponsorship to identify opportunities for audience acquisition and delegate and sponsorship revenue growth. 

 

 You will be given the tools and autonomy to do your job, and we will help support you to develop your knowledge of the markets we serve, and our fantastic events.

 

 Key responsibilities:

 

·         Engage with customers and industry thought leaders through in-depth market research in order to write insightful and detailed conference agendas

 

·         To establish and foster good working relationships with existing agenda advisory committees

 

·         Day to day management and motivation of your team, celebrating success and driving activity

 

·         To work closely with the Head of Production to innovate the portfolio, motivate and coach the team

 

·         To maintain a keen eye on the trends impacting the petrochemical sector, and more specifically related to the markets in your portfolio through, desk research and wider reading

 

·         Collaborating with the wider functions within the business to identify and recommend speaking opportunities to showcase ICIS expertise within your agendas

 

·         Create insightful and content led marketing copy for email, website and social media campaigns that demonstrates the quality of the agenda content and speakers

 

·         To attend conferences onsite to deliver a best-in-class customer experience and engage with attendees to gain valuable feedback

 

·         To liaise effectively with all internal departments (sponsorship, delegate sales, marketing, registrations, operations)
